206 Columbia St @ Sacket, Brooklyn, New York
The ART LOT is an outdoor, public art space in the Carroll Gardens/Redhook area of Brooklyn. Aimée Burg & Natalia Zubko curated and ran the space from 2012-2020. Art benefactors, Jim and Bobbi Vaughan, own the lot and in the 1990s they turned it into a space for public display of sculpture. Ursula Clark was the first to run the space for several years followed by Florence Neal. Jim Osman took the reigns from 2003-2011. The Vaughans continue to generously offer their space and support the shows. The Art Lot has year round programing with three to four shows in a row, Early/Late Spring, Summer and Fall/Winter.
After a pandemic hiatus, the Art Lot is BACK! Jacob Jackmauh and Lina McGinn are currently running the space and accept proposals all year round. Please email them at artlotbrooklyn@gmail.com with questions or comments. Check out the new ARTLOT website and the artlotbrooklyn IG for the full list of events!
